This is an icon-based Android application easily downloadable from Internet to support data collection for child malnutrition screening in schools.

 

The application simplifies real-time data collection with several built-in tools: text entry, checkboxes, photos, voice recording.

Staff have secure user authentication to access the application.

 

All data collected is transcribed in encrypted form.

Data is sent automatically at the end of the screening and downloaded into a computer database. If any coverage is available, the data is saved in the smartphone to be sent, as soon as the coverage is recovered. 

 

Additional data is added by medical staff in the computer database to create a comprehensive report to be used for subsequent screenings in order to monitor the nutritional status of the school population.
